USB communication explained

How does a USB device actually “talk” to your computer or phone? And what does it take to make that happen? For a hobby project, I dove into the world of USB communication. I’m currently porting an application that controls a USB device from Windows to Android, with the goal of making it as cross-platform as possible. Along the way, tools like Wireshark turned out to be essential to see what’s really happening under the hood.

In this masterclass, I’ll walk you through the fundamentals of USB: from device discovery and transfer modes to how you can communicate with your own favorite USB gadget.

Whether you want to kick off your own USB project or simply understand what happens when you plug in that cable, this is your chance to really get USB. Come visit this talk!
